Urge your U.S. Representative to Cosponsor the Equitable Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act

On March 24, 2022, U.S. House Representatives Ron Kind (D-WI), David B. McKinley (R-WV), Nanette Diaz Barragán (D-CA), and Buddy Carter (R-GA), introduced H.R. 7213, Equitable Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act (ECAPS), bipartisan legislation that would ensure patients continue to have access to essential pandemic and other health services provided by pharmacists, including services to keep communities safe from COVID-19, future public health threats, and perennial conditions. AmerisourceBergen (AB) and Good Neighbor Pharmacy strongly support this legislation.

Please contact your U.S. Representative and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 7213. This legislation matters because pharmacists have only been temporarily authorized to deliver certain vaccinations (e.g. COVID-19 and childhood vaccinations), COVID-19 tests and therapeutics nationwide based on a variety of Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act declaration amendments and advisory opinions. Access to these services could be in danger if the United States Congress and the Administration do not act.

Take Action! Please contact your U.S. Representative TODAY to urge they cosponsor and pass H.R. 7213 in order to recognize the essential role that pharmacists play to care for patients, and please add a personalized message to your letter to express what pharmacy care means to you.
